Job Title: Residential Carpenter
Location: Portland Metro Area

Position Type: W-2 (Employee) or 1099 (Licensed Subcontractor)

About the Role
J Chavez Design Build is seeking a skilled residential carpenter to join our team in the Portland Metro area. We specialize in crafting timeless homes with modern performance, ranging from custom new construction to high-end remodels.

Key Responsibilities
* Execute a variety of residential carpentry tasks, including framing, window and door installations, siding, finish millwork, and small concrete scopes.
* Uphold high standards of craftsmanship, building science, and structural precision.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in residential carpentry (previous apprenticeship or similar trade background preferred).
* A strong passion for craftsmanship, building science, and architectural detail.
* Personal hand tools (specialty tools and additional equipment can be supplied).
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (company van available for the right candidate).
* Licensed contractors looking for 1099 partnerships are also welcome to apply.
